Digital media and the recent developments in the field of ubiquitous connectivity has now become the biggest advancement in the media world. Their influence on the vast part of the population cannot be underestimated. With more and more developments happening in this arena, Gyan Vitaranam Research Institute For Media Studies has taken the initiative to provide media courses to students who are looking to enter the field. Gyan Vitaranam Research Institute for Media Studies (GV RIMS) is formed with the aim to provide a headstart to young aspirants to secure a future in the media industry and to back research studies correlated to the domain.

GVRIMS is affiliated to the renowned Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication. Makhanlal University is India's first university for journalism and mass communication.

The founders intend to offer the students a unique opportunity to interact and work along with the skilled professional who works with Gyanvitaranam magazine. Gyanvitaranam Magazine is a youth empowerment initiative aimed at the young and teens to know everything happening around the world along with details on scholarships and career insights.

About University

Established in 1990 by the Madhya Pradesh Government, MCNUJC is named after Pt. Makhanlal Chaturvedi, the great editor, poet, litterateur and freedom fighter. It is the first academic centre of excellence in the entire Asian sub-continent where professionals are developed in Communication, Media, and IT disciplines through traditional and modern methods of communication relevant to the current media needs. The University is also recognised under section 12(B) of UGC.

The university has been a pioneer in launching many new job-oriented courses of significance, which have received enormous appreciation among employers. The University has a focused approach towards professional education, training and innovative methods of teaching and learning. Students get opportunity to study subjects of their choice under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) as per the industry needs. The University is equally appreciated for its research contribution through its research scholars leading to the award of PhD in Media and Computer Applications.   • Am I eligible to pursue two different degree courses from different universities?

    As per university norms and Gyan Vitaranam Research Institute for Media Studies rules and regulations, students are not allowed to pursue two degrees (regular) at a time from MCNUJC or any other university. If found, both programs you are pursuing will be cancelled without prior notice and the student will be held responsible.

    Gyan Vitaranam Research Institute for Media Studies strictly follow the detailed syllabus published by the University for each course. GV RIMS follows the course curriculum set forth by the University regarding total theory and practical hours and with the internal assignments and teaching methodology.
