It is the first academic centre of excellence in the entire Asian sub-continent where professionals are developed in Communication, Media, and IT disciplines through traditional and modern methods of communication relevant to the current media needs. The University is also recognised under section 12(B) of UGC.

As per university norms and Gyan Vitaranam Research Institute for Media Studies rules and regulations, students are not allowed to pursue two degrees (regular) at a time from MCNUJC or any other university. If found, both programs you are pursuing will be cancelled without prior notice and the student will be held responsible.
Gyan Vitaranam Research Institute for Media Studies strictly follow the detailed syllabus published by the University for each course. GV RIMS follows the course curriculum set forth by the University regarding total theory and practical hours and with the internal assignments and teaching methodology. The institute also sticks to the textbooks/reference books suggested by the University in the teaching process.
